We were approached by Sid Lee Montreal to help them create an exciting new campaign for the Daily Grand Lottery. We pitched an approach based on modern architectural design and stylized characters, aiming for a truly unique visual signature.
An entire month of activities, friends, family and different sceneries. A grand idea indeed and a lot of exciting work ahead of us. Let’s just say we were extremely thrilled!
At first, the style and aesthetic had to be established. We went with a sleek and minimal isometric look, lit brightly and boldly. The decor inhabited by cheerful characters, each helping celebrate the newfound success of the winner.
Needless to say, this entailed a giant cast of characters, each whimsical and unique, however still totally at home in our Daily Grand universe.
Once all of our different characters, activities and environments were in place, then came time to bring them to life. Because this was only a 30-second spot, we needed a dynamic and fast pace. To save time, we even made the whole thing seamless with no cuts, zooming out from individual activities to a macroscopic overview of the calendar and then back into the next exciting day.
An incredible attention to detail was necessary to make every single day feel truly distinct and fun, but also believable and relatable. From designing stylish sinks to decorating interiors with just the right furniture, every element came together in a cohesive and splendid universe.
A story transitioning seamlessly from one glorious day of celebration to the next, on a road of continuous fun and excitement, that is what we proudly found ourselves making. A truly inspiring journey, proving that each day really can be grand.
