The Créa is Quebec's biggest advertising awards show. For the gala's opening, we created a strange and silly video that portrayed past Crea-winning brands (depicted as objects) engaged in the great annual awards race, with some being the lucky ones picked by the jury. The idea: Big ideas can't escape us.
We thought it would be smart to start by showcasing the products in a high-end fashion, to build up the momentum for what's to come.
The idea of personifying the brands (represented by objects) was hilarious and made for very weird characters with their own unique personality.
A simulation system was created to mix pre-made walk cycles with new animations.
We had an amazing feeling creating this piece, and when the crowd cheered heavily on the night's opening, we knew we’d hit the right spot! We keep a wonderful memory, as well as one of the weirdest things SHED has produced.
